Our approach ensures that our airports are safe, respectful, accessible, and responsive to the diverse needs of passengers, employees, contractors, and the communities we serve.
GEDSI is not a standalone initiative, it is integrated into how Fiji Airports plans, delivers services, procures goods and services, designs infrastructure, and makes decisions. We actively promote equitable workforce participation, inclusive leadership, accessible environments, and responsible partnerships that reflect Fiji’s rich diversity.

Accessibility at Our Airports
Fiji Airports is committed to progressively improving accessibility to ensure that persons with disabilities, older persons, families, caregivers, and passengers with diverse needs can travel with dignity and confidence.
Key focus areas include improved way finding and signage, passenger assistance support, inclusive terminal design considerations, and planned accessibility audits.
Governance & Accountability
GEDSI implementation at Fiji Airports is underpinned by strong governance and leadership commitment. Our approach is supported by Board-endorsed policies, a dedicated GEDSI Unit led by a GEDSI Officer with direct reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and clear accountability mechanisms across the organisation.
GEDSI is integrated into safeguarding, risk management systems, and strategic planning processes. We apply continuous monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to ensure measurable progress and alignment with our organisational strategy and national development priorities.
Through this structured and accountable approach, Fiji Airports ensures that inclusion is not aspirational, it is embedded, resourced, measured, and sustained.


Partnerships for Impact
Fiji Airports actively prioritises partnerships with government agencies, civil society organisations, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) women-led enterprises, development partners, and technical experts to advance gender equality, disability inclusion, and social equity across our aviation network. Through collaboration on accessibility audits, inclusive infrastructure design, technical advisory support, workforce capacity building, safeguarding, supplier diversity, and community engagement, we embed GEDSI principles into planning, procurement, operations, and infrastructure development. These partnerships drive practical and measurable progress toward ensuring our airports are safe, accessible, and equitable for all.
